New Manager at Comstock Park Library
Scott Ninemeier is the new regional manager at both the Comstock Park and Plainfield branch libraries of the Kent District Library system. Ninemeier will supervise branch staff and serve as community liaison representing Kent District Library (KDL).
Ninemeier grew up in Okemos, MI and attended Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Business. After graduating in 2006, he worked in private club management, managing country clubs in Boston and outside Chicago. Most recently he was the general manager of Kent Country Club in Grand Rapids. Although Ninemeier hasn’t worked in libraries, he is looking forward to applying the skills he learned in hospitality management in his new position.
“I have extensive experience working with committees, customer service, programming, and human resources,” said Ninemeier. “My role at KDL will require wearing many different hats, which is something I’ve always enjoyed. Above all else, the Library’s mission to “further all people” truly speaks to me.
“I’m already proud of the Comstock Park Library and thrilled to see the support both received from and provided to the community,” he said.
Ninemeier and his wife live in Ada and have two young sons.
